Throughout North Carolina and beyond there is a masterful awakening taking shape that we need YOU to be a part of. People, hunters and non-hunters alike, have begun to embrace the correlation between hunting and conservation, but still there is an immense amount of work to be done.
The North Carolina Chapters of the Quality Deer Management Association are on the road to breaking down the barriers between those that do and those that do not understand what it means to be a hunter – what it means to be member of the Quality Deer Management Association.
To be a member is to create friendships and fellowship with like-minded people. To be a member is to plant the seed for those to come. To be a member, to be a hunter is to actively participate in conservation. To be a member is to show care and compassion for the animals we set out to hunt. To be a member is to make a difference across our American landscape – QDMA of North Carolina may be where it begins, but not where it ends. To be a member is to sacrifice for the greater good. To be a member is to manage. To be a member is to talk about ideas rather than things or other people. To be a member is to serve each other and even those that do not believe in our hunting way of life – After all, most people, whether hunters or not, love to see wildlife. They just may not understand the connection between hunting and healthy, more productive wildlife populations and habitat. It’s our duty to show them.
The Quality Deer Management Association may be made possible by hunters, but it is for everyone.
